The 2005 Wreck-Beach International Film Festival will be held during the glorious week of Monday, August 1st to Saturday, August 6th. We are expecting a great turnout – and films are now being accepted!

This year’s film celebration will feature LIVE rock bands Saturday afternoon, August 6th. Then, when dusk arrives, our films come out to play. Movies will be shown until daybreak the following day, Sunday, August 7th. We party, we stay up late, we watch movies, and then we pass out.

Camping spots are limited (so please book now) and will be reserved for those attendees prepaying and guest filmmakers. There is room for approximately 300 people. To insure a camping spot, reserve early as we expect this awesome event will be sold out. Advance ticket prices are $10 dollars, overnight privileges, a mere $20, includes parking! Grab your tickets ahead of time to save money now!

Care to submit your movie? You should! There is NO submission fee – which sets the Wreck-Beach Film Festival apart from others. The 2005 film festival submission is free. That’s right. We said FREE. Doesn’t cost a dime. So hurry up and get your movie to us by Friday, July 1st. Hey, that’s Canada Day for anyone who wanted to celebrate with us. Hurry! It’s free! But if your materials arrive late, they’ll just have to wait until next year. Sorry, no exceptions. Deadline is: Friday, July 1st.

Films must be submitted on DVD or VCD and will not be returned – unless a return stamped, self-addressed medium is included with your entry. Films in languages other than English must have subtitles. Preference will be given to films in English. Please include a short filmmaker bio, a story about the making of your film entry, and a signed release form for festival promotion and advertising use, should your submission be accepted into the festival. Again – there is no submission fee. How cool is that?
