Wreck-Beach Film Festival 2008

It was our SIXTH YEAR!!
Yes true, it's still free submission, like all festivals should be. How can you beat that?
Festival 2008 was noteworthy because of the awesome films of course, but it was also noted because of the special guests, filmmakers, artists, and film buffs who attended. It was nice to have Director, Kirill Kripak, in attendance along with his very special friends, whom I might add have attended all of the festivals, presented his latest film,"Intuition", but wait there's more, appearances by Maude Michaud, and Matthew Saliba, of Montreal, both of whom had films shown.
Maude Michaud ,of Montreal, Quebec, presented her two latest films,"Complex Model", and "Recessed".
Matthew Saliba, Montreal, Quebec presented,"Vampyros Lesbos",.
Emily Schooley, who acted in the film "Orange Girl",of the guelph Kitchener area made the event as well.
The festival also had film great Ron Graner attend who showed his latest film, "A Forgotten Master".
Also in attendance was filmmaker Dennis Logan of Toronto.
Of special mention, filmmaker Antonello Novellino was not present, but his films were a favourite by all. This young Italian Filmmaker has a bright future ahead of him by the looks of his submission"La Pianta". The evening of films was enjoyed by all, many were seen swapping stories, and making deals for future film endavours. It's a struggle to present this festival each year with little or no funding, in the end though, it's all well worth it.
The 2008 festival will be rememberred by all who attended, there's no doubt! We hope you all come back again, and also encourage people with interest in filmmaking, writing, and arts in general, to plan on attending. Thanks to all who helped
